This is the photo I have been waiting over ten years to take.


This is the “it” moment for me in photography.

I needed the right couple, the right landscape, and the right time of day; all were supplied. This is the “yes of the blessing” when everything is perfect. The photographic outcome is better than if I staged it myself.

The photo is simple, purposeful and with rhythm. This photo is how I want to work and represents who I want to be.

I am happy. This photo makes me smile. I hope you enjoy it.

Wedding Wire Bride’s Choice Award 2009 Recipient

I am thrilled to announce that WeddingWire, the nation’s leading wedding technology company, just announced that Craig Photography has won the 2009 Bride’s Choice Awards™!

In its inaugural year, the Bride’s Choice Awards recognizes and honors vendors from the WeddingWire Network that demonstrate excellent quality of service, responsiveness, professionalism, value of cost and flexibility. This year’s recipients represent the top three percent of WeddingWire’s vendor community, which includes over 100,000 wedding vendors from across the US. That means Craig Photography is one of the very best photographers.

Unlike other awards in which winners are selected by the company, the Bride’s Choice Awards are determined exclusively by recent newlyweds through surveys and reviews.

Elizabeth, my wife, has started her own blog featuring what she does best as a photographer; weddings.

I have purposely shied away from writing about weddings since the conception of this blog. Sporadically, I would post a quick "thank you" or upload a photo from a wedding but the focus never seemed to be a fit for me.
